Mixed Berry Salad Ingredients

This berry salad is anything but boring! It showcases triple berries, mixed greens, and other toppings. Here’s what you need to make it:

  • Triple Berries

Strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries are synonymous with fun and delicious fruits! I love using these three berries; pick’em fresh and colorful.

  • Power Greens

Spinach, kale, arugula, and collard greens are perfect for this salad! They’re healthy, powerful, and taste amazing with the berries. Feel free to use spinach only or any of these fantastic greens. However, I do not recommend iceberg or romaine lettuce, as they will compromise the taste.

  • Optional Toppings

    • First, I’m a big cheese fan; I love adding it to salads and sandwiches! I used Feta cheese for this recipe, but you may also use goat cheese or skip it to make it vegan.
    • Next on the list: sliced almonds! Oh. My! Not only do they taste amazing with the berries, but they also add a nice crunchy texture you don’t want to miss. If you’re out of almonds, you may use pecans.
    • Lastly, red onions taste great with this salad; they beautifully complement the sweet and tangy flavors.

Homemade Raspberry Vinaigrette

The mixed berry salad tastes amazing; this homemade raspberry vinaigrette, however, takes it up a notch! Why buy it from the store if you can make it at home? Grab some raspberries, vinegar, olive oil, and honey, and blend them all in a food processor. It doesn’t get easier than this, and you got a yummy homemade dressing!

Serving Mixed Berry Salad

My mixed berry salad with homemade raspberry vinaigrette is excellent as a side salad or a whole meal. Serve it any day, at any time. However, I love that it adds a beautiful splash of color at parties: weddings, showers, birthdays, tea parties, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, or the 4th of July! Enjoy!
